Brandi D, known as a member of the platinum selling girl-group, Blaque, is gearing up to make her solo debut with a brand new single and album.
In lieu of her birthday, Today October 5th, Brandi released her official first single “Love It” as a free download to give her fans a taste of what to expect on her solo project. The song is produced by the Platinum Brothers, and the ballad showcases a sexier side of the R&B songstress.
“The lyrics of ‘Love It’ came from a space of being in love,” Brandi D explains about her single. “It’s about the mind and not the physical and how someone can really get into you without even touching you.”
Brandi has been working hard in the studio on her highly anticipated solo album, due out later this year. Though her single is more of a sexy R&B sound, fans should not expect the same for the rest of the album. Instead, the project will also contain a mixture of club anthems, radio-friendly hits, and your expected slow jams.
She has also been in the studio working with the likes of R. Kelly, Trina, and Cassius D. Kalb, who is known for writing for Bruno Mars and Lupe Fiasco.
Blaque’s platinum debut album sold over 1.5 million copies, with hit songs such as “808,” “Bring It All To Me,” “I Do,” and “I’m Good.”
