While the rumors about cheating on his wife Alicia Keys slowly settles, producer/rapper Swizz Beatz was working on finalizing another entangled affair. According to reports, the hitmaker has settled his child custody case with the mother of his third child, a Russian woman living in London, out of court.
After a three-year ongoing battle with ex-girlfriend Jahna Sebastian, who gave birth to their daughter Nicole in 2008, the two have finally come to an understanding. In addition, the New York Post reports that Swizz has agreed to pay Sebastian’s $42,000 legal fees as part of the settlement.
Prior to the settlement, a Manhattan Family Court judge granted a money judgment, which could have led to Swizz’s assets being seized or bank accounts frozen. It’s unclear if that was his motivation to quickly settle the custody battle but he reportedly sent a check to her lawyer for full payment.
Previous reports claimed that he was only paying child support periodically, however, the out-of-court settlement means he has paid a substantial lump sum or will make regular payments.
