Kelly Rowland is still unsure when she will reconcile with her estranged father but she is building her confidence to do so. The former Destiny’s Child singer has not seen her father Christopher since she was a child and she previously claimed his “drunk and aggressive” behavior impelled her mother to leave him.

Rowland’s father reached out to her earlier this year in hopes of reconciliation but Rowland admits but she’s taking her time to decide on how to initiate the reunion.

“I do have a desire to speak to him,” Rowland told Britain’s Grazia magazine. “But I have to be ready when I make that decision, and I don’t want to hurry myself. I’ve been without him for more than 20 years.”

Kelly Rowland is an artist who has gone through her own personal struggles, and she isn’t afraid to talk about it. Her latest song ‘Don’t Want to Hurry’ touches on a particularly sensitive topic – the reconciliation between Kelly and her father. In this article, we’ll explore what inspired the Grammy-winning singer to write something so raw and personal. We’ll also look at why taking things slow might be the best way for Kelly to come to terms with her unresolved issues. So if you’re looking for some insight into how one of music’s brightest stars approaches such a difficult subject, then keep reading!

As any child growing up without their parents can testify, it can affect them in more ways than they realize. For Kelly Rowland, having an absent father was always going to be tough. From never having him around while she was growing up, only seeing him when he visited occasionally; it wasn’t easy for young Kelly. Little did she know that one day these experiences would shape a whole new chapter in her life as an adult.

That brings us onto ‘Don’t Want To Hurry’ which addresses the issue head-on by putting pen to paper (or rather fingers to keys) and letting those emotions flow out into words and lyrics. The chorus of the song speaks volumes: “I don’t want to hurry / I just wanna take my time / I’m not ready yet”. It’s clear from these lines alone that Kelly wants to tackle this situation carefully before committing herself too quickly or rashly. But what does this mean for both parties involved? Read on to find out…

History Of Kelly Rowland’s Relationship With Her Father

Kelly Rowland’s relationship with her father, Christopher Lovett, has been strained for many years. The two had a falling out when she was just five years old and since then they have not had much contact. Despite having some brief attempts at reconciliation over the years, their relationship never seemed to last long and eventually deteriorated again.

Rowland hasn’t spoken publicly about what exactly happened between them all these years ago but it is clear that there are still unresolved issues between the two of them. Recently, however, she revealed in an interview that while things were tough between them at times, she doesn’t want to rush into any kind of reconciliation too quickly. She wants to take her time and ensure both parties are ready before attempting to start something new.

She also noted that despite everything that has happened in the past, she does still care for him deeply and hopes one day they can work through their differences together. It appears as if Kelly Rowland is willing to make amends but only when the time is right for both involved.

Recent Developments Regarding Reconciliation

In spite of the years-long separation between her and her father, Kelly Rowland has recently expressed her desire to reconcile their relationship. As part of this effort, she’s made a number of attempts to reach out to him in recent months. Though Lovett hasn’t yet responded to any of them, Rowland remains hopeful that he will eventually do so.

That being said, even if Lovett does decide to take up his daughter on her offer for reconciliation, it won’t be something that happens overnight. Both parties need time to process everything that happened in the past before they can move forward together. As such, Rowland is taking care not to rush things or get ahead of herself when it comes to reconciling with her father.

Though there may still be some time before either side is truly ready to mend their differences and make amends, Kelly Rowland continues to express her willingness and hope for reconciliation one day soon.

Conclusion

I. Summary
In conclusion, Kelly Rowland’s relationship with her father has been tumultuous, but she is taking things slowly in hopes of reconciling soon. Despite the differences that have driven them apart over the years, it seems they are both open to coming back together and rebuilding their bond.

II. Taking Time for Healing
Kelly isn’t going to rush into anything; instead, she wants to take her time and ensure healing can occur before attempting full reconciliation with her father. This could be a lengthy process as there may still be underlying issues between them that need to be addressed in order for a healthy connection to form again. It will require patience from both parties if they want this outcome to happen successfully.

III. Looking Ahead
It’s uncertain what the future holds for Kelly and her dad, but it appears positive progress is being made towards repairing their relationship. Hopefully someday soon they’ll reach an understanding so that these two important people in each other’s lives can come together once more as family should be able to do without any tension or discomfort present between them.
