Move over Stella, someone else is getting her groove back. Soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae has finally surpassed the grieving stage since losing her husband, Jason Rae, who died of drug overdose in 2008. The “Closer” hitmaker has reportedly found a new love in pianist and producer Steve Brown, who allegedly has been standing by her side since Jason’s passing.
The new couple was spotted holding hands and kissing at a recent event, which honored Bailey Rae for receiving an honorary doctorate of music at Leeds University. According to Daily Mail, “Corinne beamed from ear to ear on her special day, with her special new man.”
Corinne and Steve are longtime friends and music partners. He helped produced her recent studio efforts, which includes ‘The Sea’ and the cover album, ‘The Love.’
She was married to Jason Rae for seven years before his death.
