British soul singer Joss Stone was the focus on a foiled kidnap plot by two men, aged 33 and 30, according to reports. Neighbors contacted the police about the suspects whom were taken into custody with swords, rope and a body bag in their car after traveling 200 miles to the 24-year old singer’s home in Devon, South West England.
Detailed maps and aerial photos of Stone’s property were seized from the would be robbers.
According to detective inspector Steve Parker, ” The men had information and items that lead us to suspect that they may have intended to commit a criminal offense.”
Recently Stone launched her own record label Stone’d Records, which will release her fifth album ‘LP1.’ The forthcoming album was recorded in only six days with the assistance of producer Dave Stewart. The musical tone of the album is a rock n’ soul musical odyssey.
‘LP1’ is schedule to be released on July 26,2011.
