Joss Stone is following many artists by launching her own record label Stone’d Records, which will release her fifth album ‘LP1.’ Stone, Grammy winner, five-time Grammy nominee, and the recipient of several Brit Awards, departed from her major record label EMI in 2010.
For Stone, she considers ‘LP1’ as the first album she has recorded because she had total creative freedom. “This album captures a specific moment in time that was spontaneous and full of creativity,” says Stone.
The forthcoming album was recorded in only six days with the assistance of producer Dave Stewart. The musical tone of the album is a rock n’ soul musical odyssey.
‘LP1’ is schedule to be released on July 26,2011.
