Chris Brown’s mother Joyce Hawkins says her son needs to become comfortable in discussing the incident that happened with Rihanna or his troubles will continue to haunt him. Hawkins, who is a victim of domestic violence, doesn’t want anymore incidents like the window smashing at Good Morning America to ever cloud her son again.
“I think he really needs to talk about the situation in itself, what actually happened to Rihanna… so that he can get that out for himself,” Hawkins tells Sister 2 Sister magazine.
She adds, “He has to learn to deal with it and go on with his life. This is something that happened; it was a huge mistake… it was not good at all. But he is still a human being and we all make mistakes and we live and we go on with it. But he has to own it, deal with it and move on with his life.”
We all deal with situations differently, so we hope Brown’s route will continue to push him down the right path.
In related news, Brown comes in a No. 6 on this week’s Billboard 200 album chart after moving 28,000 copies of his latest album F.A.M.E. He also tops the R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart.
