Aubrey O’Day continues to churn her career in the right direction. The former Danity Kane band member has inked a new record deal and is prepping the release of her debut single.
After two successful albums with Danity Kane, O’Day will release her debut solo effort on SRC/Universal Motown, home to singers Shontelle, Ray J and Melanie Fiona. The set will be lead by the electro-charged single “Automatic.”
“‘Automatic’ is the right fit for where music is headed now,” O’Day tells Billboard. “It’s a pop-dance track, but I wanted to go in the club and write a song about not having to put on all the glamour and the glitz.”
“Automatic” will hit iTunes on April 12, the day after her reality show “All About Aubrey” wraps its first season.
