A recent comment about Christina Aguilera being “out of control” may be true. The pop starlet was arrested early this morning for being intoxicated in public. According to the reports, Aguilera was booked at the West Hollywood Sheriffâs station on a misdemeanor charge at 2:45 AM.
A source tells TMZ, Aguilera appeared to be âextremely intoxicatedâ and was âunable to take care of herself.â
Aguileraâs boyfriend Matthew Rutler was also arrested during the melee and slapped with a DUI misdemeanor indictment. His bail was set at $30,000.
The source added: âIf the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble.â
Since her split from husband Jordan Bratman late last year, Aguilera has been running wild with new boyfriend Rutler. A source recently told tells Us Weekly that the Burlesque star and Rutler even had sex in a bathroom at a recent family gathering.
“Her friends are fed up,” the source says of Aguilera’s recent antics, which included a New Year’s Eve blowout fight with her mom and a booze-filled night of crying at L.A. club The Dime in January. “Nobody can get through to her. They think she’s trashy. And her ego is out of control.”
