Looking for the hottest Spring Break destinations? Well look no further as Red Bull Soundclash comes together with rappers Snoop Dogg and Cee-Lo Green to give music lovers an epic Spring Break experience.
Red Bull Soundclash plans to clash the unique sounds, style, and creativity of two of the industry’s most celebrated artists against bands of a different genre. This year, the featured artists are scheduled to have a Hip-Hop vs. Rock face-off. The aim is to have the artists to give two separate performances on two stages situated on opposite ends of the venue, while the fans and audience are in the middle. In a four round series, the musicians showcase their abilities through various musical tasks.
In round one both bands cover the same song while staying true to their style and technique. Round two sizzles things up as the first artist plays one of their original pieces but is interrupted mid-way as the second performer takes over the song, finishing it in their own way. The third round highlights the versatility of the musicians by having them perform songs in three different genres. In the final round anything goes as the artists bring a surprise guest on stage to perform with them.
Cee-Lo and indie pop duo, The Ting Tings are up first with a live musical showcase in Las Vegas on March 12, 2011. Snoop Dogg follows suit five days later as he is slated to perform against the rock meets funk sounds of Ghostland Observatory in South Parde Island, TX on the 17th.
