Grammy nominated R&B/Gospel singer Kelly Price is gearing up to release her much-anticipated sixth album, Kelly, in February 2011 via Sang Girl/My Block Records. The set is led by the first single, “Tired,” recently impacted radio, reaching a Top 30 spot at Urban AC this week. “Tired” was written by Kelly Price, produced by Shep Crawford and inspired by a creative heart-to-heart Price shared with fellow musician and past collaborator, R. Kelly. The song sheds light on the social ills that were not only causing her distress at the time, but also seemed to be plaguing the world as a whole. The album will feature additional production by Warryn Campbell and Jazz Nixon. Kelly Price made her introduction to the world in 1998 with the double-platinum debut, ‘Soul of a Woman.’ Her first single, “Friend of Mine,” was a record-breaking single that made history as the first to garner the #1 spot on the singles chart without an accompanying video clip–a rare feat during the era when music videos were the driving force of popular culture. She returned to center stage three years later with the platinum-plus seller, Mirror, Mirror, led by her remake of the R&B classic, “As We Lay,” and followed up with the gold-selling holiday collection, One Family: A Christmas Album in 2001. Three years after releasing her fourth album, Priceless, she returned to her roots for This Is Whom I Am, a live gospel album recorded at her church home in Long Island.

Kelly Price, the R&B vocalist and songwriter known for her powerful ballads and soulful lyrics, is back with a hit that’s just broken into the Urban AC Top 30. Following up “Tired,” Kelly Price has announced that an album will be dropping in early 2011. Fans of this legendary artist have been eagerly awaiting new music from her, and they won’t have to wait much longer! Ready to jam out to some old school-style R&B? Read on to find out more about ‘Tired’ and what we can expect from Kelly Price’s upcoming album release.

The first thing you’ll notice when listening to ‘Tired,’ is its classic feel – it pays homage to all those great 90s RnB tracks without feeling dated or predictable. With smooth melodies and sultry vocals, it’s easy to get lost in the emotion of this track as Kelly conveys heartache through each line of passionate lyricism. It comes as no surprise then that ‘Tired’ quickly gained traction after its release: within weeks it was climbing up the charts! Now at #27 on Billboard’s Urban Adult Contemporary chart, Kelly Price has solidified her place among today’s most popular artists.

With such success following ‘Tired’, fans are anxiously anticipating the full-length album which is slated for an early 2011 debut. We don’t know many details yet, but if ‘Tired’ is any indication of what we can expect from the rest of Kelly Price’s project, we’re sure it’s going to be something special!

Overview Of Kelly Price’S Music Career

Kelly Price has been a powerful presence in the music industry for two decades. She’s released several chart-topping singles and albums, including her 1998 debut album “Soul of a Woman.” Her latest single, “Tired” recently broke into the Urban AC Top 30. Now, fans are eagerly awaiting news on a new album from Kelly which is set to release early next year.

Price first gained major recognition when she was featured as background vocalist on songs by such artists as Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and Whitney Houston. This led to her signing with Island/Def Jam Records where she released “Soul of A Woman,” an R&B classic that spawned numerous hits like “Friend Of Mine” and “As We Lay”. The success of this album kickstarted her career as one of the leading female voices in urban music today.

Since then, Kelly has gone on to create more hit records such as 2005’s Grammy nominated CD “Mirror Mirror”, 2010’s critically acclaimed record “Kelly” and most recently 2011’s mixtape series titled “#SignedSealedDelivered”. With eight studio albums under her belt and countless awards & nominations over the years, it’s no wonder why fans have been so eager for new music from Kelly Price – especially with the recent success of “Tired” reaching #26 on Billboard’s Urban AC Chart. As we look forward to what will surely be another iconic project from Kelly Price, there are some exciting times ahead!

Success Of ‘Tired’ And Upcoming Album

Kelly Price’s latest single, “Tired” has been an undeniable success. After being released in late 2020, the song quickly broke into the Urban AC Top 30 – a major feat for any artist. It marks yet another milestone in her career and is just one example of how she continues to stay relevant in today’s music landscape.

Fans have also been eagerly awaiting news on a new album from Kelly which is set to release early next year. While details remain scarce at this time, it will surely be filled with more inspiring lyrics and soulful melodies that we’ve come to expect from her over the years. With so much anticipation surrounding her upcoming project, there’s no doubt that it will be well received by fans everywhere.

As we anticipate Kelly Price’s next move, it’s important to recognize her achievements thus far and celebrate all that she has brought to the music industry throughout her two-decade long career. From captivating vocals to timeless hits – Kelly Price remains an influential figure in contemporary urban music and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon!

Conclusion

I have been a fan of Kelly Price’s music for many years and I am so proud to see her success in the Urban AC Top 30. With ‘Tired’, she has shown that she is still at the top of her game, proving that good music never goes out of style.

Her upcoming album promises to be even better as it will feature both new material and some old favorites remade with fresh production. This combination will surely make it one of the most highly anticipated albums of early 2011! As a longtime fan, I am sure that there are plenty more hits waiting on this album and cannot wait until its release.

Kelly Price is an inspiration to us all; showing that hard work really pays off in the end. She has demonstrated time and time again why she deserves respect within the industry and beyond. I am excited to hear what else she has planned for us next year!
