Hip Hop artist DMX, real name Earl Simmons, was released from a Los Angeles prison yesterday (August 12) after serving 18 days of a 90-day sentence, reports TMZ.com. Simmons was serving time for his connection to a reckless driving conviction in 2002. X turned himself in to authorities back in July, returning to prison barely a month after he was released from a four month stint for violating parole. Back in 2009, DMX was also sent into prison after charged for drug possession, animal cruelty and theft, stemming from various arrests in 2008, but he was released in May the same year. DMX recently signed to Bodog Music to release his seventh and eighth studio albums, Walk with Me Now and You’ll Fly with Me Later in late 2010 or early 2011.
