Soul singer Joss Stone is moving outside her norm. She was reportedly summoned to play character Nicole Hunter in the new video game âJames Bond 007: Blood Stone.â “I’m the first Bond girl from the West Country. Instead of Martini in my glass I’m drinking cider,” Stone said in an interview. The game, which will be for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows, was written by GoldenEye screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. Not leaving her craft behind, the singer-songwriter has also co-wrote a new song for the game with Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics. Inspired by Shirley Bassey, she said: “She’s really powerful but there’s no ad-libbing or warbling because it wasn’t needed. “I was just inspired by her and I tried to sing it in a really straight, powerful way.” Stone also said she would love to play bond girl on the big screen. “I would love, love, love to be Bond’s girl in the next film,” she added. Stone made her first acting debut in 2006 in fantasy film Eragon.
