According to VH1, the popular show will be coming back for another run with Chilli either looking for a new round of gentleman or settling down. “After a search that first seemed unproductive, Chilli faces a choice between two great contenders. Will one of these men be a part of her story as she rolls into the second season?,” reports VH1. The season finale of ‘What Chilli Wants’ (season 1) premieres on VH1 Sunday, May 30 at 10:30pm.

Overview Of The Show
Chilli, an R&B singer and former member of the multi-platinum Grammy Award winning group TLC, was the star of her own reality dating show on MTV called Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. The premise of the show was that two contestants would compete for Chilli’s affections by living in a house together and competing in various challenges. After each challenge, one contestant would be eliminated until there were only two remaining. In the finale episode, Chilli chose which of the final two she wanted to date.
The first season aired from October 9th 2007 through December 18th 2007 and proved to be a hit for MTV, garnering high viewer ratings throughout its run. Due to this success, MTV decided to give the show a second season that premiered on April 22nd 2008 and ran through June 17th 2008. Like before, 16 contestants entered into a competition where they would take part in different tasks while vying for Chili’s heart. At the end of every episode someone was sent home until there were only four left. During the season finale the winner was revealed as Ryan Jenkins who had proposed marriage to Chili during his time on the show; however this did not last past filming as he quickly withdrew his proposal after shooting wrapped up. Despite this setback, audiences enjoyed watching Season 2 just as much as Season 1 and it became another successful series for MTV.
Contestants And Challenges
Shot at Love with Tila Tequila had an array of interesting contestants, all vying for Chilli’s affections. The show featured 16 total contestants: 8 male and 8 female which was the same as Season 1. Each contestant was given a unique challenge to complete in order to prove their worthiness to Chili. These challenges ranged from completing physical tasks such as running obstacle courses or taking part in trivia games, to seducing Chilli through romantic dates. Not only did these tests determine who would be eliminated each episode, but also helped shape whom Chili felt most connected to as she evaluated every participant’s performances throughout the season.
As the competition narrowed down each week, tensions rose amongst the remaining contestants as they scrambled to win over Chilli’s heart by putting forth their best efforts during each task. This strategy unfortunately led some participants into confrontations and arguments with one another while causing others to completely freeze up under pressure. Despite this drama, viewers continued tuning in every week eager to see whom Chili would pick next before eventually crowning her winner on the finale episode.
In the end Ryan Jenkins emerged victorious after being able to charm both Chilli and audiences alike with his charismatic personality and witty banter that made him stand out among his fellow competitors.
