Award winning singer/songwriter and ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star, Kandi Burruss, is betting on sex. Not in a way that some would think, but more so, admitting that she’s closed off to that subject for at least another six months. Committed to dating and finding the ‘right’ person, Burruss says “Iâm on a bet right now where I canât have sex with nobody until after this year is over [Laughs]. So Iâm not locking nobody down because Iâm not letting any relationship get sexual.” Known for penning songs like “No Scrubs” (TLC), Burruss believes dating is much easier and enjoyable when you remove sex and the emotions that come with it from the equation. “Itâs easier to date, but when you start having sex with the person, then that makes you want to keep giving it to him. We shouldnât be so in a rush to lay up and have sex with a guy because all of a sudden we catch those feelings. We are closing off options.” While the mother of one’s opinion is respected, some say she has “man emotion” and dismisses men too quickly, not giving them a fair chance. “My friends say I have âman emotion,â Burrus tells VIBE. “What they mean by that is sometimes I act like a dude in the sense of I can get over people easily as far as relationships. It doesnât take me long to move on. When I decide that you ainât doing right and you did something wrong to me, then Iâm done. And Iâm done. As soon as we break up, I have a date set up for the next week.” In related news, Kandi is gearing up for the release of her next studio album and the anticipated return of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ (BRAVO) — both slated for Fall 2010.
