Donnie McClurkin, Heather Headley and Mary Mary walked away from Sunday’s Grammy Awards with top honors, leading a strong pack of Gospel winners. McClurkin, earning the first award of the evening, accepted Best Gospel Performance for “Wait On The Lord”. Joined by Karen Clark Sheard, McClurkin embraced fellow Grammy nominee Tonex, who presented the evening’s electronic and gospel categories. Taking a step back to Gospel roots paid off for Heather Headley, who picked up Contemporary R&B Gospel Album (“Audience of One”).
