Adrienne Bailon is fast at work on her anticipated Def Jam debut. While the former Cheetah Girl and 3LW member says the album will be filled with pop and hip hop elements, a good portion will draw from the same R&B roots that catapulted 3LW into the top 40 in 2001. “Itâs an R&B-pop album that kind of reminds me of a modern day version of 3LW,” Bailon told Rap-Up.com recently. “Iâm going back to my roots of R&B and hip-pop. Iâm so excited. Itâs going to be a great album and I think people will be really surprised.” As previously reported, Bailon’s forthcoming album will be her first on Def Jam and first full fledged solo effort to be released. Ne-Yo, Bryan Michael Cox, and The-Dream are among those linked to the project, which is slated for release Summer 2010.
