Revamping the missed and on hiatus Soul Train Awards turned out to be move in the right direction for BET and its sister network Centric. According to BET Networks, the ‘Centric Presents: 2009 Soul Train Awards’ drew some 4.0 million viewers Sunday, November 29. Up 144% in viewers since the last airing of the Soul Train Awards in 2007, this year’s presentation is the highest rated fourth quarter telecast in BET history. As previously reported, this year’s show featured performances from Toni Braxton, Trey Songz, Anthony Hamilton, Johnny Gill, K-Ci and JoJo, Ginuwine, Mario, Chrisette Michele, Ledisi, Chaka Khan and many more (see highlights from the show here). In case you missed the show, BET has lined up four encore presentations due to air throughout December. Hosted by Terrence Howard and Taraji P.
