American Music Award producer Larry Klein is thrilled over Janet Jackson’s forthcoming performance. “We’re thrilled about having Janet Jackson open this year’s show,” Klein said in statement. “She is an incredibly dynamic performer and I think the audience will be excited to see what she has in store.” Set to open the November 22 celebration of music, Janet Jackson will reportedly perform an eight minute medley of songs. News of Jackson’s performance comes just ahead of an anticipated singles collections disc titled “Number Ones” and an appearance on ABC’s ‘In The Spotlight with Robin Roberts’ (Nov.18). As previously reported, Jackson is also working on a new album, slated to be released in 2010. The 37th Annual American Music Awards air on ABC November 22 at 8pm.
