‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Kandi Burruss is “doing much better” nearly two weeks after the death of both her uncle and ex-fiance Ashley “AJ” Jewell. “She’s doing much better. She’s a strong girl,” a close friend of Burruss told E! early this week. “I speak to her every day. I go and visit her. I went to the funeral. Whenever she needs me, I’m there.” A funeral for Burruss’ ex-fiance was held in Atlanta over the weekend with Burruss and close family and friends in attendance. As previously reported, Jewell died after an altercation at the Atlanta area club Body Tap. Jewell had appeared alongside Burruss on BRAVO’s hit reality series ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’. A reunion show, featuring Burruss, was to be shot last week but, has since been postponed. At press time the reunion show was still on schedule to air on BRAVO during the first week of November.
