Jennifer Hudson might have kept quiet about her pregnancy earlier this year but the new mother of one is not tight lipped about giving birth. “Everybody told me how much it was going to hurt afterwards but I think I have a different tolerance for pain than others,” Hudson tells PEOPLE. Because of that tolerance Hudson says she had no problem moving forward with life after birth. In fact, the “Spotlight’ singer told her fiance and nurses that she could not remain stagnant shortly after giving birth to her son. “I’m like, ‘Look, I canât sit in this bed anymore. Iâve got to get up!â Iâve been up and about since he was born. To me, the pain is no different than when you work out a muscle youâve never worked out before and itâs sore,” says Hudson. Hudson gave birth to a baby boy, David Otunga (named after his father), August 10.
