After tragedy struck over the weekend, ‘Atlanta Housewife’ Kandi Burruss had to undergo the daunting task of being the first to view her late fiance’s body. As previously reported on Singersroom, Burruss’ ex-fiance and often co-star on BRAVO’s ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ died Friday after sustaining injuries in a fight outside an area club. While Burruss and Ashley (AJ) Jewell were reportedly not together at the time of his death, the two remained connected through Jewell’s twins, who Burruss had adopted earlier this year. Speaking with Sister 2 Sister’s Jamie Foster Brown earlier this week, Burruss admits to being strong even after being the first to view Jewell’s body. According to Sister 2 Sister, Burruss was able to view his body first, instead of relatives, because of the show. “(They) assumed we were, like, already married,” said Burruss, just before confirming the fact that Jewell showed no signs of injury. Jewell leaves behind six children. A memorial service in his honor is set to take place in the Atlanta area this weekend. In related news, sources say ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion show tapings have been postponed due to Jewell’s death. For more on Kandi Burruss’ story visit S2S.
