Joining Omarosa, Eva Marcille and Phyllis Hyman, soulful singer Teena Marie will soon appear on a TV One original. According the network, Marie will be featured on its forthcoming season of ‘Unsung,’ a series that celebrates the lives and careers of successful artists, who, despite great talent, have been under recognized. Noted for songs like “Square Biz” and “Lovergirl,” Teena Marie’s life will kick off the new season of ‘Unsung’ November 1 at 8pm. Marie will be joined by Bootsy Collins (Nov. 8), Zapp feat. Roger Troutman (Nov. 22) and Klymaxx (Nov. 15) later in the season. Each ‘Unsung’ episode features musical clips, interviews, archived footage and a look at the artist’s journey through music.
