Keri Hilson is in love with Japan even though there have been a series of earthquakes and aftershocks since her arrival earlier this week. “Just got bk from “Vibrations,” MTV beach party! ThE HoTTesT sTaGE I’ve evr bn on! & the audience was Wild. So last night in Japan = Clubbin!,” Hilson wrote on Twitter early Thursday morning. But Hilson’s last night in Japan was probably great, considering the series of earthquakes, aftershocks, tsunami warnings and other weather related troubles in the country this week. Like Beyonce, Solange and Jessica Simpson, who were all near and in Tokyo when a 6.6 measuring on the Richter scale earthquake struck earlier this week, Hilson says she was “scared”. Wednesday night, Hilson was awaken and wrote on Twitter. “Another EARTHQUAKE!! This one woke me up…that’s the 3rd one since we been here!! & I’m on the 34th floor– that’s pretty scary!” “So this 1 only lasted about 30 secs. Felt my bed shaking like the exorcist!!,” Hilson continued. Hilson’s album is also doing well in Japan, as it is in the states. “Knock You Down,” the latest single from the album, featuring Ne-Yo and Kanye West, claims the no.4 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100. In related news, Keri Hilson is due to appear on BET’s Rising Icon special August 17 at 10:30pm (*check local listings).
