Keri Hilson’s Gold-selling single “Knock You Down” jumped a reported five spots on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single, taken from Hilson’s 2009 debut “In A Perfect World,” moved past Beyonce’s “Halo” and Jamie Foxx’s “Blame It” in a jump from 7-3. Featuring Ne-Yo and Kanye West, “Knock You Down” is also no.1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs tally. In related news, Jeremih’s single “Birthday Sex” is holding its ground at Billboard. The record, which leads Jeremih’s summer 2009 debut, remains at no.4 this week, despite competition from Beyonce and Lady Gaga. Speaking with Singersroom recently, Jeremih seems to have no intention of staying in the “Birthday Sex” lane. He says “I feel like I have other songs that will attend to other crowds, or just will top other charts that I’m more confident in.”
