R&B/soul singer Lyfe Jennings is just about ready for the release of his Jesus Swings/Asylum/Warner Bros debut album. Before he gets there, the former “Must Be Nice” singer has decided to come forward with the title and story behind the project. Stating the album “is about relationships,” Lyfe Jennings has titled the album “Sooner or Later”. The effort, Jennings’ first album under Asylum/Warner and first since 2008s “Lyfe Change,” follows a series of changes for the singer. Despite enduring changes in both his professional and personal life, Jennings seems to have grown through this effort. Diving further into the album, Jennings says it is about “how we try to hold on (to relationships) sometimes for the sake of holding on. But, in reality no matter how many breakups turn into make-ups, sooner or later we realize that this person is who they are and we need to let go. No grudges, no regrets. Just realization. Just acceptance. Just life.” Jennings’ “Sooner or Later” is led by the single “Haters”. Click Here to listen to the single right here on Singersroom.
