T.I. remained strong at his final show in Atlanta this weekend, just days before surrendering to a prison in Arkansas. “Thank you for all of your support,” TI told fans in his hometown before heading home for the last time as a free man. Over 15,000 fans showed up for the “King of the South’s show at Phillips Arena donning well wishing signs like “We’ll Miss You” while blasting the rapper’s hits including “No Matter What” and “Bring Em Out”. Contrary to reports issued last week, T.I. will indeed serve a full sentence of a year and a day at an Arkansas prison. He will in fact turn himself into to authorities Tuesday, May 26 to begin the sentence after loosing a request to be relocated to a Georgia area penitentiary . While T.I. is headed to prison for an extended period, his music will live on through an expected special edition of the multi-Platinum selling 2008 effort “Paper Trail”. Two music videos were reportedly shot over the last few weeks, including a single with Mary J. Blige titled “Don’t Forget”. According to fans in attendance at his final show, amongst T.I.’s final words was the statement: “What I need y’all to do is pray for me while I’m gone”. “I’ll see y’all in 366 days”.
