Charlie Wilson’s seemingly unshakable hit “There Goes My Baby” has reclaimed the no.1 spot on the Urban AC chart this week. The former Gap Band star may however, loose it again thanks to Maxwell’s rising hit “Pretty Wings”. Wilson, having already spent seven weeks at no.1 earlier this spring, was ousted by Jennifer Hudson’s “If This Isn’t Love” last week but regained the thrown after a boost in plays. “There Goes My Baby” is Wilson’s second top 10 single to make the Urban AC chart. Wilson’s “Charlie, Last Name Wilson” rode the chart for six weeks at no.1. While the news is good for Wilson this week, soulful singer Maxwell is inching up to the no.1 spot. In fact, Maxwell’s lead single from “Blacksummers’night,” titled “Pretty Wings,” jumped 9-3 in its third week ! Therefore, it is safe to say that Maxwell might just topple both Hudson and Wilson on next week’s Urban AC update. (Hudson remains at no.2 today.) In related news, Maxwell just unveiled an official itinerary for his over 20-city tour this summer. Click Here for more on that story….
