Erykah Badu is close to unveiling the anticipated second installment of her “Amerykah” series, before she gets there, she’ll spend several weeks on tour. Noting over ten scheduled dates, Badu will spend much of late May and June on the road performing songs from “New Amerykah Part One (4th World Ward),” including stops in Phoenix, Honolulu, Los Angeles and San Francisco, before wrapping up in Manchester, TN. (see itinerary below) In related news, Badu is expected to unleash the first single from “New Amerykah, Part 2 (Return of the Ankh)” in August. Followed by the album, which Badu says is “more spiritual” than the first, Badu’s single also follows the Grammy nominated single “Honey”. “New Amerykah, Part Two (Return of the Ankh)” is due in stores this fall.
