Beyonce and T.I. are tied and leading the pack of nominees for the forthcoming BET Awards 09′ where they’ll not only face off for Viewer’s Choice but Video of the Year ! Beyonce, picking up five nominations for “I AM…Sasha Fierce (2008)” leads the Best Female R&B Artist category, while nabbing a double Best Video nomination for both “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” and “If I Were A Boy”. The “Cadillac Records and Obsessed” star is also up for Best Female Actress. Tying with Beyonce, T.I. picks up five nods including two Best Collaboration nominations (Ain’t I and “Live Your Life”) in addition to a nod for Best Male Hip Hop Artist where he’ll face off with Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Young Jeezy. (see full nominees list below) Keri Hilson, riding high on the charts with her debut album “In A Perfect World,” earned the most nominations for a new artist including Best Female R&B Artist, Best Collaboration and Viewers Choice. The “Turnin Me On” singer is also up for Best New Artist where she will face off with Kid Cudi, Ryan Leslie, M.I.A., and Jazmine Sullivan. The BET Awards 09′ ceremony, celebrating the achievements of artists, entertainers, and atheletes in 16 categories, will take place Sunday, June 28 in Los Angeles. Booked for the Shrine Auditiorium the starfest will also be hosted by Jamie Foxx and feature confirmed performances from Ne-Yo and Maxwell. Soulful legends, The O’Jays, will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Rihanna, Day 26, Common, The Dream, Trina, Lil Mama, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Mary Mary, Angela Bassett, Idris Elba, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Candace Parker, Benny Boom, Chris Robinson and Hype Williams are also nominated for awards. Musiq Soulchild, Raphael Saadiq, Seal, Solange and Jazmine Sullivan are also up for a BET J Award.
