Who would’ve thunk it, Ciara and Chrisette Michele in a battle for the no.1 spot on next week’s album chart ? According to sales reports and predictions the “Fantasy Ride” and “Epiphany” divas are going to be very close when official debut numbers are revealed next week ! In a report issued through Hits Daily Double and Nielsen SoundScan, Ciara and Michele had strong sales on Tuesday, the day their albums were made available through stores and digital outlets. In fact, the ladies are predicted to each sell over 70,000 copies in the first week, making it difficult for anyone to truly predict which album will debut at no.1. Based upon history however, Ciara’s “Fantasy Ride,” which suffered a series of delays may be the victor considering the diva’s last release 2006s “The Evolution” which bowed at No.1 with 338,000 copies. Michele, who picked up a Grammy this year, debuted with 27,000 copies in 2007. Elliott Yamin’s latest effort “Fight For Love” is also set to debut high on the chart.
