When it comes to “Turntables,” a song up for debate due to Chris Brown’s vocals, chart climbing diva Ciara says it feels good to stay focused on the music and not controversy. “I just love the way it sounded and it felt good to keep the focus on the music, because that’s what it’s really about, this record,” Ciara shared after facing the public this spring like other artists, including Flo Rida, who have music with embattled singer Chris Brown. Brown, currently facing felony assault charges in Los Angeles, recorded the song “Turntables” with Ciara before the unfortunate events that took place in February with girlfriend and Def Jam signee Rihanna. Nonetheless, Brown’s record will be on Ciara’s “Fantasy Ride” album when it hits stores Tuesday, May 5 and according to Ciara is one of her favorite records on the album. “Fantasy Ride” also features collaborative efforts with T-Pain, Justin Timberlake, Young Jeezy and Missy Elliott and includes a special deluxe edition DVD with behind the scenes footage and videos for the singles “Never Ever,” “Love Sex Magic,” and the 2008 cut “Go Girl”.
