British girl group Sugababes will take on the U.S. pop charts after reportedly signing with Sean âJay-Zâ Carterâs Roc-A-Fella Records. According to Digitalspy.com, the ladies, who finalized the deal at London restaurant Nobu last month, will still be under contract with major label Island Records but will start working with a new team of producers, who also worked with Beyonce and Rihanna. Sugababes, comprising of Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah, have achieved major success in the U.K. and Europe, but have yet to break into the American market. Speaking to DS recently, band member Keisha Buchanan admitted that they did not want to rush the recording process. “We want to… take about a year to write it. But it depends – if everything goes well and we get a massive single, then obviously we’ll come back straight away,” she said.
