Grammy Award winning R&B singer Ne-Yo has inked a deal for his new protégé Jadyn Maria at Universal Motown Records. As Singersroom previously reported, Maria will push the infectious pulsing electronic single âGood Girls Like Bad Boys,â featuring Flo-Rida. Puerto Rico born Maria met Ne-Yoâs partner Tango and began recording in Atlanta before signing to compound. Not too long after she did her first couple of songs, she received a call that changed her life: âHi Jadyn, this is Ne-Yo. I just wanted to let you know I heard the songs you just recorded and I would like to sign you as an artist.â On signing Maria Ne-Yo says: âA sweet tone, a gorgeous smile, a bubbly yet strong personaânot to mention a rather strong pen gameâmade Jadyn Maria just what I was looking for. Itâs these attributes that will also make her a name you will remember.â âI am thrilled to team up with Ne-Yo, his manager Tango, and Compound Entertainment to introduce Jadyn Maria,â adds Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone. âItâs the greatest validation of a new artistâs talent to earn the praises of a fellow artist who has already made it to the top of the game, so it speaks volumes that Ne-Yo has chosen Jadyn as his very first signing. Jadyn is a fantastic singer and gifted songwriter who really stands apart from the pack of new female artists with enormous charisma, a unique personal style, and a sassy edge. It gives me great pleasure to welcome Jadyn Maria into the Universal Motown family.â Jadyn Mariaâs album is set to feature some of todayâs R&B and pop music heavy-hitters, including Ne-Yo, Katy Perry, and Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes, to name a few. Check out and enjoy âGood Girls Like Bad Boysâ now streaming on Singersroom.
