“Boyfriend #2” singer Pleasure P is happy with life after exiting Gold selling group Pretty Ricky but, that is not what’s most important to him. The chance to work with late “Lollipop” producer and brother Static Major amongst a bevy of producers on his soon to be released debut is everything. “I’m happy. I get to do things I’ve wanted to do,” Pleasure P shared with Singersroom. “I got an opportunity to work with Static Major… rest in peace.” More than a brother but a producer who helped Lil Wayne snag a Grammy with the single “Lollipop,” Pleasure P credits Major for helping to make his debut “phenomenal”. Due in stores June 9, Pleasure P’s “The Introduction of Marcus Cooper” is representative of the singer and his new found freedom yet, it was no overnight project. “I’ve been in the studio non stop for a year and a half,” says the former “Did You Wrong” singer. With a list of producers that he confirmed in a video interview with Singersroom, including R&B singer Tank, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Dre & Vidal and Cool & Dre, Pleasure P is sure to live up to what he’s dubbed himself as “the new bad boy of R&B aka the King of romance”.
