Award-winning songwriter/producer Rodney Jerkins has signed on for the MtV hosted and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs produced series “Starmaker” ! Jerkins, known for penning and producing hits for Brandy and Mary J. Blige, joins the forthcoming series as a judge who will decide who, out of a group aspiring recording stars, will win a recording contract. “Starmaker,” following Diddy’s successful “Making the Band” series follows a group of aspiring solo artists who wil live together as they compete for a record deal with Bad Boy and the opportunity to have Jerkins produce one or two songs for their debut. Starmaker contestants will perform in front of an audience each week as they handle photoshoots, paparazzi and other tasks. Jerkins leads the panel of three regular judges on the series.
