Bow Wow says he’s retired — this time for real. “This is my last album because for me, there’s no more that needs to be done on the music side, I’ve done everything,” Bow told Real Talk NY this week. News of Bow Wow’s retirement from music follows lackluster sales of the former chart-topping rapper’s latest effort “New Jack City II” and a rash of negative reviews from VIBE, blogger Sandra Rose and radio/television personality Wendy Williams. So what’s next for Bow ? The rapper says he’s got acting “covered” and plans to work on netting an Academy Award (Oscar). “I think I have a better chance at getting an Oscar before a Grammy. The music industry is so fickle, there’s so many politics. I think a lot of people don’t pay attention to the credits or the artistry no more,” Bow told the Associated Press. Bow Wow will return to television in the HBO series “Entourage” later this year and is also due to appear alongside Taraji P. Henson in the film “Hurricane Season”. Bow Wow aka Shad Moss, made his acting debut in “Like Mike” (2002).
