R&B singer Avant has unleashed the single “Sailing” through an exclusive EP on iTunes this week. “Sailing,” a re-invention of the Christopher Cross ballad, is already a national Top 20 hit at Urban AC radio and was the most added song in March. The song, accompanied by the previously unreleased songs “Yes,” “You Are More,” and “Provocative” are now available through an exclusive iTunes only EP. In related news, Avant is currently on tour with Je’Caryous Johnson’s popular stage play ‘Love Overboard’, featuring KeKe Wyatt, Carl Payne and Karen Malina White. Also appearing alongside former ‘Girlfriends’ star Khalil Kane, Avant will appear on dates through early May including stops in California, Texas and Okalahoma. News of Avant’s new EP album and role in “Love Overboard,” follows the former “Private Room” star’s self-titled Capitol Records debut. Released in December 2008, “AVANT” debuted at no. 6 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and entered in the top 30 in Billobard’s Top 200 Albums Chart. “AVANT” features collaborative efforts with Trackmasters, The Architects (Missy Elliott), and DJ Smurk aka Collipark (Soulja Boy).
