A song written by R. Kelly titled “I Look To You” has hit the bar…. that is, the bar that legendary music mind Clive Davis was looking for when putting together the Whitney Houston’s long-anticipated album. “You wait for the great songs to be written,” Davis told reporters at rehearsals for his annual Pre-Grammy party Thursday. Davis, who also has his hand in projects from Leona Lewis and Jennifer Hudson, says Whitney’s comeback album is much like her first: “You wait for the material to justify a new album… it’s come in”. With Clive’s stamp of approval it’s likely that Whitney Houston’s as-yet-untitled 7th studio album is close to hitting stores. As previously reported on Singersroom, Whitney Houston will perform at Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy party where she’ll be joined by Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis.
