After taking a deep breath, R&B singer/actress Jennifer Hudson belted out a flawless performance of the national anthem before the Super Bowl Sunday. “This was such an important performance, because it’s the first time everyone has seen Jennifer. But she’s in such a great place, with such great spirits and time can heal her wounds. She’s on fire right now and totally grounded,” says pre-game show producer Ricky Minor. Hudson’s performance, applauded by many and even bringing tears to some, marked the return of the singer who endured a traumatic 2008 that claimed the lives of her mother, brother and nephew. According to sources, Hudson anxiously asked producer Ricky Minor “How did I do ?” “I told her touchdown,” says Minor. Minor’s sentiment was echoed by several people close to the singer including R&B singer/actor Jamie Foxx. Foxx immediately text Hudson after her performance stating “Amazing.
