R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo is eying Billboard’s reigning Hot 100 star Lady Gaga as the perfect co-star for his next big duet. According to Ne-Yo, Lady Gaga represents true artistry — mainly because she’s unafraid to be a little strange. “I really hope GaGa and I can work together. I have never been so excited about an artist before. Being yourself is what makes an artist,” says Ne-Yo. “She is a strange one, but it’s refreshing. She makes no apologies for being who she is. She takes pride in being an individual and I made it my business to tell her when we met up on the road.” If Ne-Yo’s wish comes true, Lady GaGa will follow the Grammy winners rumored collaboration with another ‘strange one’ — Marilyn Manson. When asked about his collaboration with Manson, who has been known to raise eyebrows for his style and lyrics, in 2008, Ne-Yo responded: “People might think it’s a strange collaboration, I don’t. I’ve wanted to work with him for ages.”
