Chart-topping singers Mariah Carey and Beyonce have revealed their song choices for Barack Obama’s inaugural festivities next week. According to published reports, Mariah Carey, who will sing at the Neighborhood Ball to be televised on ABC, says she’ll perform “Hero” due to the fact that Obama is a hero in her eyes. “Itâs fitting for him. “Itâs appropriate,” Carey told Access Hollywood Friday. Carey, who was spotted at The Sundance Film Festival over the weekend with actor/husband Nick Cannon, is not the only one confirming a song selection. Beyonce, who is currently riding high atop the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart with “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” has come forward with her song selection despite the inaugural committee’s wish to keep the choice a secret. Beyonce has decided to serenade the Obama’s with the Etta James classic “At Last,” a song she recorded for the 2008 film ‘Cadillac Records’.
