With all the fire she’s been spewing lately over the Notorious flick, Lil Kim took a few minutes to get down to business this week — her next album ! As she’s proclaimed before ‘been gone for a minute, now I’m ready,’ Lil Kim is on that comeback trail and ready to surprise everyone with her first major release since 2005s “The Naked Truth”. According to MTV, Lil Kim is not only rocking the mic, she’s also thinking about pulling a Kanye West (808s & Heartbreak). “I’m coming with it. I got to hang in there with the fellas. The only way to hang in there with the fellas is to be able to do what the fellas do. And with Lil Wayne singing and rapping, T-Pain singing and rapping, and everybody singing and rapping, somebody got to represent for my laaaaaaadies”. Lil Kim’s last album “The Naked Truth,” released in 2005, spawned the hit singles “Lighters Up” and “Whoa”. Since 1996 Lil Kim has released four albums, including her breakthrough debut ‘Hardcore (1996)’. She has worked with everyone from Christina Aguilera to Mary J. Blige and Diddy. While no release date or album title has been revealed Lil Kim says her album is “coming soon, real soon”.
