Beyonce begins 2009 with a fourth week atop the Billboard Hot 100. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the singer’s hit “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” which is now in its fourth week atop the Billboard Hot 100, also nabbed a seventh week atop the R&B/Hip Hop songs tally on the strength of 382,000 downloads. Lady GaGa has also earned a great New Year surprise as her hit single “Just Dance” featuring Colby O’Donis moves from 3-2 with nearly 419,000 downloads, a feat only topped by FloRida’s hit single “Low”. For the first time in several weeks, T.I. and Rihanna’s massive hit “Live Your Life” falls from the top two. The single, which was originally released early Fall is now at no.3. Kanye West’s “Heartless” held at no.4 this week followed by Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” which moved 7-5 and Katy Perry’s Hot N Cold” at no.6. Britney Spears seems to be having trouble with her new single “Circus” which remains outside the top 10, while her first single “Womanizer” holds this week at no.7. Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown;” T.I.’s “Whatever You Like;” and Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy” round out the week’s top 10 singles.
