Beyonce, Kanye West, Britney Spears and Taylor Swift received bonus sales during last week’s holiday rush. The latter of the four stars, Taylor Swift gained yet another week atop the Billboard 200 albums chart ! Taylor Swift’s debut album “Fearless” stuffed nearly 262,000 stockings over the Holiday, pushing her album to the top of the chart for its fourth non-consecutive week. Following just behind Swift, Beyonce’s “I Am…Sasha Fierce” stuffed a serious amount of gift bags and stockings by moving 211,000 copies last week. Led by the hit single “Single Ladies,” Beyonce’s third album has sold 1.46 million copies in the U.S. since its debut in November. In fact, Nielsen Soundscan says Beyonce’s “I Am… Sasha Fierce” is the 10th Best-Selling album of 2008 (see the rest of the list here) Fellow songbirds Keyshia Cole and Britney Spears also received Holiday sales bumps. Keyshia Cole’s recently released album “A Different Me” moved 127,000 copies while Britney Spears’ “Circus” moved another 203,000 copies. Other notable mentions this week include Jamie Foxx’s new album “Intuition” which moved another 105,000 copies since its debut last week and Kanye West’s “808s & Heartbreak” which moved another 165,000 copies led by the single “Love Lockdown”. Debuts from R&B group Brutha and Def Jam singer Sterling Simms did not make Billboard’s top 10 listing for this week due to sales of less than 101,000 copies. An update on both of these acts’ sales is likely to appear in the coming days.
