Lionel Richie is on the move with “Just Go,” the follow up to the former “Coming Home” singer’s Grammy-nominated album. “Lionel Richie 2009…What does he sound like? That’s the question I asked everyone,” says Richie when asked about his ‘new school’ line up of producers including The-Dream, Ne-Yo, Akon, Stargate and Johnta Austin. “Some of these guys don’t always necessarily deal with true melody. But we were committed to melody from beginning to end. They knew I wasn’t going to break into a rap,” Richie told Billboard. According to the singer, “Just Go” picks up where “Coming Home” left off, with Richie describing the forthcoming album as a “little more pop with a fabulous R&B foundation”. “Just Go” is slated for release Feb. 17 via Island.
