Riding high on their electrifying return, “Back To Now,” Labelle is set to hit the road in what will become the group’s first national tour since 1977. Slated to kick off Dec. 19 at New York City’ s Apollo Theater, Labelle is expected to run through at least eight dates before wrapping up in Atlanta, GA Feb. 14. Making stops in Oakland, Detroit and Washington D.C. Labelle, who according to the Los Angeles Times ha been called ” a phenomenon whose music helped change the very idea of what pop and the artists who made it — especially women singers previously confined to ‘girl groups’ — could be, will criss cross the country (see full itinerary below). Tickets for the tour launch at the Apollo are currently on sale through Ticketmaster. Tickets for the other dates are expected to go on sale soon.
