Gearing up for the release of her third studio album, Keyshia Cole has solicited fellow Atlanta-based friend Monica to detail what ‘Trust’ is all about. “I want that,” says Cole referring to reaching the pinnacle of her career and pursuing the dream of living in a log cabin and owning horses, while also operating a veterinary hospital and pet store. For now Cole says she is content with having fun on her upcoming album “A Different Me,” where she opens up about her new life and growth as a young woman. “It’s a different me this time: a young woman who’s still growing and finding myself, exploring life through different routes musically and in other areas. I wrote more about other people’s situations than my own. I’m moving forward.” Kicking things off with Monica on “Trust,” Cole zeros in on establishing trust in a relationship. “It all adds up to “fearless R&B,” says her label boss, Geffen Records chairman Ron Fair. She further hones her ballad skills on the track “You Complete Me,” a cover of R. Kelly’s 1992 hit, “Honey Love.” In related news, Keyshia Cole has reportedly signed on for a holiday tour. The tour, slated to run through the end of the year, pairs Cole with chart topping Hip Hop star Lil Wayne and “Can’t Believe It” star T-Pain. While tour dates have yet to be announced, Lil Wayne and Cole have confirmed plans to hit the road. Next year, the “Playa Cardz Right” singer plans to hit the big screen for a film based on her life. Keyshia Cole’s new album ” A Different Me” is slated for release Dec. 16.
