Addressing comparisons between her hit “Like A Boy” and Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy” Ciara says “I totally respect her (Beyonce’).” “The actual song is real. As women we go through it. Both her and I have ran into each other at different times and every time there’s love and respect and I just choose to keep it that way” the “Go Girl” star told Hot 97’s Angie Martinez recently. Stating she’s heard different things from a lot of people regarding Beyonce’s selection of “If I Were A Boy,” Ciara says “I choose not to get into the craziness of it. It’s definitely a different record and the same concept. I respect her and I think she’s an amazing performer.” In related news, Ciara has confirmed the delay of her album “Fantasy Ride.” Now slated for release in early 2009, the star has reportedly taken more time to squeeze in recording sessions with Jim Jonsin (Beyonce, Christina Milian), Bloodshy & Avant (Jordin Sparks) and Scott Storch (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera).
