Veteran Hip Hop star Mos Def has confirmed a release date for his highly anticipated album “The Ecstatic.” “The Ecstatic,” Mos Def’s Downtown Records debut, is set for release Feb. 9, according to Billboard. Following the star’s last album, “Tru3 Magic,” released in 2006, “The Ecstatic” will be led by the single “Life In Marvelous Times” which will hit iTunes as an exclusive on Nov. 4. In related news, Mos Def star in the upcoming flick “Cadillac Records,” due Dec. 5 in U.S. theaters. Mos Def joins Beyonce Knowles for the film based on the life of the great Etta James. “The Ecstatic” hits stores and online retailers Feb. 9.
